In what was a wire-to-wire game, the Adamson University Soaring Falcons manhandled the University of the East Red Warriors, 79-60, in Sunday UAAP Season 80 action at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon city.
The Falcons started the game 11-0, padded on the lead and would never look back. Adamson would push the lead to as much as points in the third quarter.
Papi Sarr tallied a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds while Sean Manganti almost had a double-double of his own as well with 10 markers and eight boards.
For the Red Warriors, Mark Olayon paced the team by scoring 16, grabbing four boards and dishing out four assists in a losing effort.
Adamson’s win now puts them at fourth place tied with the University of the Philippines at 3-2 while UE on the other hand drops to 0-5.
Adamson will face, ironically, the Fighting Maroons in their next game on Wednesday in what would may decide the two teams’ Final Four hopes.
