Courtesy of Robert Bolick, the San Beda College Red Lions drew first blood of the NCAA Season 93 Finals by defeating the Lyceum of the Philippine University Pirates, 94-87, Friday afternoon at the Araneta Coliseum.
After being down by as much as 12 midway in the third quarter, the floor general Bolick took over and dropped 18 points in the last two quarters with 11 scored in the game’s final quarter.
“I credit this game to my players especially Robert who really stepped up,” said Red Lions head coach Boyet Fernandez after the win. “I just give credit to my players today, we were down by as much as 12 points and they never gave up. People said the heart of LPU is really big but they came from 12 points down so I think the heart of my players are really big as well.”
