EAC Generals blast CSB Blazers to open NCAA Season 93 Campaign

The Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals dominated the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers, 74-64, in their first game in the NCAA Season 93 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the San Juan Arena, Friday.

Hamadou Laminou posted a double-double performance with 21 points, nine of 14 from the field, 13 rebounds, and seven blocks. Sidney Onwubere scored 11 and grabbed 14 boards of his own.

Laminou broke away for a layup to build a 40-19 lead for the Generals with 2:43 left in the second period.

The Generals did not take their feet off the gas pedal as they zoomed to their biggest lead of 24 points in the third quarter.

The edge was too huge to overcome for the Blazers, only to cut it down to 10 in garbage time.

None of the players from the Green side charged into double-digit scoring. Center Clement Leutcheu just had nine markers and eight rebounds. Kendrix Belgica and Dino San Juan garnered eight points apiece.
