FEU destroys UST, keep Tigers winless.

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws flat out dominated the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, 96-70 on Sunday in the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in  San Juan.

It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Tamaraws as UST never tasted the lead during this ball game.

FEU led by as much as 36 points during this game. FEU’s bench outscored UST’s bench, 62-22, showing the depth of the Tamaraws and exploiting the shallow bench of the Tigers.

The Tigers shot themselves in the foot with their terrible shooting.

UST shot a measly 2/12 from the three-point distance, while FEU waxed hot from downtown with a 12/26 clip.

Ken Tuffin led the way for FEU with 14 points. Arvin Tolentino dropped 13 points while Japser Parker chipped in 10 points.

With the win, FEU improves to 5-4, improving their Final Four chances, while UST falls even further down to 0-9.
