Reunited with her former DLSU volleyball teammates, Aby Marano displayed her usual self on the floor as she led debuting F2 Logistics to victory over Cignal HD Spikers, 25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-11, in the opening game of the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
F2 Logistics seemed to finish the game early by routing the HD spikers 25-12 in the first set but Cignal made adjustments in the second set enabling them to build a commanding 17-9 lead before finishing the set 25-23 behind the efforts of Cherry Vivas and setter Djanel Cheng. The third and fourth sets however belonged to F2 Logistics as setter Kim Fajardo, who finished with 29 excellent sets, orchestrated the plays for the Cargo Movers for their first win in front of 4,800 spectators in the venue.
The former DLSU Lasy Spikers team captain wasted no time adjusting with her former teammates as she scored 17 points on 9 attacks, 5 blocks and 3 service aces.
Also making an impressive debut was the 2016 first overall pick Ara Galang, who scored the first point of the PSL All-Filipino conference, as she finished with 11 points. Stephanie Mercado scored 11 points as well for the Cargo Movers.
Cherry May Vivas was the lone double-digit scorer for Cignal as she tallied 13 points on a losing effort.
