PEAK, Tony Parker Positive about 5-year Contract Extension

MANILA – NBA superstar Tony Parker held a press conference at Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila on Sunday, as sponsored by his official shoe brand partner PEAK.

In 2013, the Chinese sportswear brand announced its partnership with the four-time NBA champion. Peak has released several editions of Parker’s signature shoes since.

Some of these signature shoes, which comes with different color ways depending on particular events which Parker participates in, are Peak TP9-I Tony Parker 2013-2014 France Basketball Team, Peak TP9 Tony Parker 2014 NBA All Star Games “West Red”, and Peak TP9 Tony Parker III San Antonio Spurs Away Basketball Shoes.

“It’s like a family. They treat me very well,” said the French national.  “I’m very proud to be with Peak. They have great shoes. They improve every year.”

Parker disclosed that it is very special for him to have his own signature shoe with Peak, especially since he shared how involved he is in its creation process.

“A lot. We talk all the time. We email and share feedback after games,” said the 34-year old point guard. “I go to China. I go to the factory and check everything.”

And despite the distance of the brand’s main office and factory from San Antonio, Texas where he is based, Parker doesn’t seem to mind at all.

“I’m a world traveller. I love going everywhere.”

He added, “It’s a great experience to go to China every year and experience the culture.

With the great relationship they have developed, Parker is very happy and positive with five-year contract extension.

“I’ve been blessed. Hopefully I can stay with Peak for a long time,” he ended.
