Saints survive Heroes’ late rally in NCAA Season 93 All-Star Game


The Saints All-Stars denied the Heroes All-Stars a comeback win, 84-80, in the NCAA Season 93 All-Star Game at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Friday.

UPHSD Big Man Prince Eze was hailed as the Most Valuable Player, posting a double-double performance for the ballers in red with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while also doing work on the defensive end with three blocks. Gab Dagangon and Rey Nambatac chipped in 14 and 12 markers respectively.


San Beda Red Lion Robert Bolick daggered a triple to bring back the lead for Coach Boyet Fernandez and his crew, 82-80, with 1:49 remaining in the final period.

The Heroes had multiple chances to tie the game or even take the lead, but Teytey Teodoro lost the ball inside the paint.

Eze took care of business as he clinched the victory for the Saints after nailing two crucial free throws in the dying seconds of the game.



CJ Perez led the scoring for the heroes with 15 points and four steals. Jerome Garcia added nine, while Kent Salado chipped in eight.
