Singapore – Team Philippines bounce back from the loss against Indonesia after dominating the Malaysian volleyball team, 25-15, 25-18, 25-16, Thursday in the 28th Southeast Asian Games Women’s tournament.
Alyssa Valdez led the team with 13 points, Dindin Santiago-Manabat had eight markers while Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Daquis contributed seven points each.
The win against Malaysia is the Philippine’s first win in the competition in 10 years.
Shun Thing Beh had nine points to lead the Malaysian spikers.
The women’s volleyball national team will be facing Myanmar on Saturday.
